STAFF ACCOUNTANT:
Description:
To support the CFO in carrying out the responsibilities of the Finance / Accounting Department.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Enter Sales Orders and all sales related transactions
- Process credit cards for sales orders
- Enter Accounts Payable Invoices and maintain paperwork
- Enter Purchase Order and maintain all purchase order paperwork including receipt of goods
- Prepare monthly sales and use tax returns for various locations.
Process Accounts Payable paperwork at completion of the check run. - Enter Payroll into ADP system and other payroll related items.
- Perform such other accounting, financial, or administrative tasks as may be required from time to time.
Skills and Abilities:
- A Bachelors degree in accounting, or a Bachelors degree in business with emphasis in accounting, is required.
- Must be skilled in dealing with financial and numeric data.
- Must be skilled in use of Excel Spreadsheets.
- Must be skilled in use of MS Word and must be a very good writer in order to handle the occasional administrative needs of the department.
- Must have very good verbal skills.
- Working knowledge of Great Plains a plus.
- A minimum of 2 years experience in accounting is required.
MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER:
Job Description:
The Mechanical Design Engineer will function as part of the engineering team at OPS and report to the VP of Engineering. The person in this role will be responsible for new product development and will be involved with all aspects of that process from concept to production. As a result, this person shall be required to work and interface with all the functional groups of the company including manufacturing, operations, quality, and accounting. This position will require some travel (<10%).
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design systems and components to meet performance and cost requirements.
- Create parts, assemblies, and drawings using SolidWorks.
- Generate BOM’s, manuals, and work instructions
- Design sheet metal, die cast, stamped, screw machine, and injection molded parts.
- Generate part and system specifications based on requirements
- Perform engineering analysis to insure conformance to requirements.
- Develop test procedures and run tests to validate performance and operation.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
- B.S. or advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Competence in mechanical design, including use of CAD (SolidWorks)
- Experience utilizing Failure Mode Analysis and Root Cause Analysis
- Working knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes.
- Good verbal and written communication skills
